What Causes Nausea And Severe Pain In The Stomach?

I m 65, 270 lbs, 5 6 . MIssed a bottom step yesterday and went forward turning and landing hard on my right back side. Seemed ok immedetly but later that night has nausa and severe pain in stomach and lower right back side. I did vomit but very little came up. I found a very old prescriptio for generic vicoden and took half a pill. Finally got to sleep and felt better in morning. I have the urge to poop but can t do it. I did not eat anything until noon. Now I am back to where I was last nite. I assume I have a brused kidney and something is causing blockage in my colon, possibly swelling . Nothing appears brused on my back side. I will try and see doctor tomorrow and need to know what questions I should ask and what he might recommend. Roger McKee

Hi,

I would advise you to get yourself checked by a physician as soon as possible. He will do a thorough clinical examination and refer you to the concerned specialist depending on the result of your examination. It is advisable that you get an X ray done of the right hip bone and chest x-ray to rule out any bone injuries. It is also advisable to get a CT abdomen done to rule out any internal organ injuries. Meanwhile you can take an antiemetic like cap Pantop DSR to alleviate the nausea and an over the counter painkiller like Advil to relieve the pain.
