What Causes Nausea And Shortness Of Breath?

I am feeling funny. I don’t know how to explain it. Just weird. My vitals are all normal. Blood pressure, temp, oxygen. My head is swimming today, I just ate and now I’m a little nauseous, and feeling short of breath. I have asthma and have felt with positional vertigo. I have used my inhaler, tried doing my vertigo “exercises” but not feeling the dizzy effects I normally get. Any ideas?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

By your history and description, possibility of acute worsening of asthma is more likely. So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). PFT will tell you about severity of asthma and treatment is based on severity only. You will mostly improve with inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone). Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
