Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am currently taking 12.5 mg of Benicar for HBP and Metformin 500mg once a day (for 1 1/2 months) for being in the pre-diabetic stage. The past two weeks, both of my ankles have been swelling up, so I sleep with them propped up. I have also been feeling nauseated pretty much daily. I stopped taking the Metformin, for a week now, thinking that was it, but I am still feeling nauseated and the ankles still swell. Should I stop both medications and ask for something else??? Please advise.

What Causes Nausea And Swelling In The Ankles?
Hello, I suggest you see a doctor and some examinations like routine blood tests to see your kidneys function, cardiac sonography too. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Anila Skenderi, General & Family Physician
