What Causes Nausea And Unusual Taste In Mouth While On Antibiotics?

i am taking these two antibiotics for diverticutitis, 500 mg each. taking 1 3 x's a day, other 2 x's daily. I am very sick, nauseas. terrible medal taste in mouth to where I cant hardly eat or drink, very tired, BAD headache, and more.... this is my 5th day taking and have 5 more days, I actually feel like Im going to die is this normal?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the symptoms of having metal taste in mouth along with nausea, headache and tiredness seems to be probably due to side effects of antibiotics and is not a normal finding, rather it is side effect of antibiotics..

I would suggest you to consult your treating physician and get evaluated.
He can either reduce the dose of antibiotics or change to other drugs that does not case so severe side effects..

As of now chew sugarfree chewing gums as they help in improving taste.
Drink plenty of water.
Take sufficient rest..
Do not starve and eat small meals every 2 hours.
