I m eating and everything is fine but suddenly I feel sick and I have to run to the toilet but I never am. I have an exam tomorrow and I m worried I m going to be sick in the actual exam. Hello,

You are suffering from sick feeling since the week end. You are having watery eyes even when sleeping, nausea and tiredness. Most common cause of excess tears is actually allergies, cold , sinusitis, viral conjunctivitis, etc. Allergy to various substances like dust mites or dust particles on the pillow may cause the symptoms like increased tears, itchy eyes and potentially nasal symptoms, headache or fever. Symptoms of a nasal allergy are sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, congestion, runny nose, and post nasal drip (mucus in the throat), nausea.

In older adults, persistent watery eyes may occur due to aging skin of the eyelids sags away from the eyeball, allowing tears to accumulate and flow out. Sometimes, excess tear production may cause watery eyes as well. If you catch cold and neglect it it may transform into sinus infection. Nasal allergy is inflammation of the nose due to irritating particles (dust, pollen, and dander). Sinusitis and allergy symptoms can happen at the same time as a common cold. Smoking can trigger sinus infections. Quit smoking.

Get clinically examined by an ENT to rule out nasal polyps, allergy to mold, seasonal allergy, deviated nasal septum or a weak immune system. You will be accordingly treated with decongestant, allergy medications, antibiotics. Taking saline nasal irrigations may help. For relief take antihistamine, take adequate fluids, take acetaminophen, one sos when needed to get relief from discomfort and to reduce any inflammation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

You are suffering from watery eyes, the most common cause of excess tears is due to allergies. People often can be allergic to various substances like their pillow, dust mites or other dust particles. This reaction often causes histamine release in the body which can cause increased tears, itchy eyes and potentially nasal symptoms.

Watery eyes are indicative that the eyes are actually drying out. Medical conditions like blepharitis and meibomian gland dysfunction can also cause the symptoms you are suffering from. You are suggested to keep the eyes and the eye lashes clean. Get clinically examined by an eye specialist, get treated. Nausea is commonly due to liver problem, lack of sleep, cholecystitis, gall stones, etc. Get liver function tests, urinalysis, imaging tests done. Get examined by a GP. Get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
