Hello,
Nausea with chest and
arm pain may be due to angina or heart pain, gastric irritation,
peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux or
panic attack. Treatment depends upon the cause of pain. To those who come to my clinic with similar symptoms, I recommend tab.
Esomeprazole for 2 weeks to be taken before food. Any over the counter
antacid can be taken. Avoid spicy and hot food.
Omez insta sachet to be emptied into half a glass of water and drunk. This will really decrease your pain and discomfort. Do not lie down immediately after eating. After eating at least 2hrs you must maintain upright position to prevent reflux. If even with the above treatment, symptoms persist, investigations necessary are ECG, 2D echo, and chest X-ray. Please do consult a physician if the symptoms persist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
