What Causes Nausea, Diarrhea And An Urge To Chew Ice?

I drink only water but I only chew ice in excessive amounts of at least 9 - 32 oz glasses a day. My appetite has changed I can only eat small amounts throughout the day. I get nauseated at times and there s been days that I feel like I have diarrhea but when I go to the restroom all that comes out is completely clear fluid and it comes out even if I m trying to hold it to make it to the restroom. I often wake through the night to eat popcorn but either way if I do or don t I find that I m eating ice while I m asleep. I don t have medical insurance or a family doctor. I m 53 years old and 5.ft 4 in tall and weigh approximately 190 lbs.

Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

I think the symptoms are like irritable bowel syndrome. Do you get burning in your epigastric region (area just below diaphragm)? You get nausea. Is it before or after you consume anything like food or drink?

Thank you for contacting us. Hope this clarifies your concerns.

Take care
