What Causes Nausea, Diarrhea And Headache After Taking Unpasteurized Milk?

Hello have an 18 year old female that drank unpasteurized milk last night. Was nauseated about two hours later and woke up vomiting this morning. Also had diarrhea on and off today, headache, and nausea. Not able to keep anything down. None of her friends got sick, she s the only one. Doctor tonight or wait till morning if things don t get better take her in?

I appreciate your concern for your friend. According to your history it seems that your friend is suffering from gastro-intestinal infection. Her other friends did not got similar infection even after consuming same milk, the reason may be infected vessel in which your friend consumed milk or may be dose of infection. Anyways, my advice is take antibiotic like ofloxacin+ornidazole twice daily for 5 days, Pantoprazole+domperidone combination daily for 5 days under your physicians advice.
Eat Curd or butter milk, fruit juices, drink Oral rehydration solution (ORS) as and when you feel drinking. Avoid spicy and fried foods.
