What Causes Nausea, Dizziness And Lower Back Pain With Delayed Menstruation?
Hi, so my period is now almost 20 days late, I am NOT pregnant, I even checked just to make sure. I have had severe lower abdominal pain and diarrhea for about a month. I m tired alot more than usual, dizzy, I can t bend down to pick anything up without almost blacking out. I have been getting headaches, nausea, loss of appetite. What could be wrong? Should I see a doctor or wait it out? Also my back has been incredibly sore.
I would definitely advice you to visit a gynaecologist at earliest. They might advise you routine blood tests and also non invasive tests like abdominal ultrasonography. This will tell if you have any conditions for delayed periods like polycystic ovarian disease.
Its important to know if there any history of fever, as it could be infection(like typhoid) as you have stated diarrhea in your symptoms. Sometimes when the blood hemoglobin (anemia) levels are low the periods get delayed. i would advise you to recheck with another pregnancy kit. Sometimes, pregnancy tests done within 15 days of having probable unprotected sex can be false negative.
Problems with thyroid function also need to be assessed.
