What Causes Nausea, Headache And Fatigue After A Head Injury?
Suspect mild to moderate concussion after striking center of skull on doorknob while quickly raising head. Went down probably less than 1 minute LOC. Difficult to know as also have primary progressive MS of nearly 30 yrs, which now dances around in my cerebellum. Past several days have had continued bouts of nausea, greater fatigue, slight confusion or frustration more easily, and greater staggering/wobbling, with moderate headache. Treating by increased rest and quiet PRN and measured or balanced use of meds n hand for such an occasion. History of several mild TBI and several more serious TBI from age 10 to present age of 57
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Head trauma with loss of consciousness will need a Brain scan or MRI to exclude a hematoma. LOC could as well just be due to the shock from the injury.A brain MRI will be better as it will not only tells us if any hematoma but it may also reveal new MS lesions. The other symptoms you present could as well be due to your progressive MS.I will suggest you see a Neurologist for evaluation.I will recommend the following measures for your MS: -Get enough rest -Regular fitting exercises -Avoid exposure to heat -Eat well and balanced -Avoid stress Hope my answer will help you Best regards
