What Causes Nausea Upon Lying On The Left Side After A Concussion?

I fell in Jan.of 2015 and sustained a concussion that had eight staples to close it. I had a bad time with rehab. To this day I cannot sleep on my left side. I cannot lie down flat without getting nauseous and beginning to pass out. I am beginning to notice that my scalp feels very tight and my head feels larger than before, Is it possible that my brain is swelling after all this time?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, you need to get it reviewed by a neurosurgeon and fresh brain imaging like CT scan or MRI scan may be needed.

Other signs of raised intracranial pressure need to be elicited ok examination. It needs to be evaluated at the earliest and symptoms needs proper work up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
