What Causes Nausea, Upper Abdominal Swelling And Pain Radiating Through Back?

Hi, I am a 22yo female. A little over a year ago I was diagnosed with serious acute gallstone pancreatitis and by the time I had my cholecystectomy, the gallbladder was badly infected. Now one year on I am having exact same symptoms even though I have no gallbladder : upper abdominal pain which radiates through to upper back, nausea, upper abdomen swells and feels hard to touch but lower abdomen remains soft, doesn t feel tender to touch, only if pressed on maybe an inch or so and also extreme tiredness when it happens and if I am standing it is like my body is telling me I HAVE to lie down. I have been to the gp and have been prescribed lansoprazole which I have been taking for the past month or so but doesn t seen to be having any effect.

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such symptoms most of the time may be due to some acid reflux disease and with the mental stress it could be more intense in quality beside the medicines you need to low down the stress, avoid spicy food, coffee, smoking, alcohol, prior to bed and in medicines "Tab Omeprazole 40 mg Domperidone, 30 mg" once in day at evening time for three weeks, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
