What Causes Nausea, Vomiting And Excessive Phlegm In A Child’s Throat?

11 yr old grandson presents for last month with nausea u and accumulation of mucous in back of throat felt sometimes before vomiting.Has been on protonix ..sporadic relief. He was neg for celiac and now eats grill chicken and rice , non spicy foods ,water and continues to have occasional n/v..had ice cream X1and threw up. Upper endo neg.Med changed to prograde? Wonderful kid..has missed school 8 days last month..any input?
