What Causes Nausea, Vomiting And Fatigue During Nights?
hi I have something kinda strange. 2 Times in the last 2 weeks this has happened. I wake up in the middle of the night seriously nauseated which usually leads to vomiting. I have big hiccups a lot the time. I m also extremely tired and fatigued, so much so that its hard for me to function .Another big symptom is I m terribly hot but absolutely freezing at the same time, I know it sounds like virus but I don t think it is because nobody that s close to me shows any symptoms.I was given diflonac for a shoulder surgery, but had just started taking it the night I first got sick. Could this be a reaction to it .
The commonest side effects of NSAID like diclofenac is nausea, acidity, retching and vomitings. For avoiding gastritis with prescribe my patients, some PPI like Pantoprazole and some antacid gel prior to it and advise all the patients to have it post meals. If the symptoms continue in spite of these precautions, you can switch to an alternative like acetaminophen and paracetamol (for shoulder pain) which cause less gastritis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
