Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed 2 days ago with Shingles. I got the rash about 2-3 days before that. I am having bouts of nausea. I can feel okay for a few hours and then the nausea just hits me and I feel terrible. Is this normal and will it last or go away in a few days? I'd just like to know what to expect.

What Causes Nausea When Suffering From Shingles?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic If the pain is intense then this may be the cause of the nausea. Pain can sometimes be associated nausea. If there is no associated discomfort then it may be best to see your doctor to see if the cause of the nausea can be determined. There are medications that can help with your nausea such as dramamine or peptobismol. These are available over the counter. I hope this helps
