What Causes Nausea While On Fixcom?

Hello, I m taking Fixcom 4 for PTB and have been doing so for the past three days. Day 1 - there was some nausea, Day 2 - no problems, Day 3 - nausea. How long should I observe these side effects before I report to my pulmo for change in medicine? He told me to give it five days. Or is this normal? Thanks.

Hello,

Nausea is a common side effect of medications for pulmonary tuberculosis. You will need to let your doctor know of this possible side effect. Your doctor may prescribe drugs to help your nausea settle. Drugs for tuberculosis should not be stopped if side effects are manageable, this is to avoid resistant strains of tuberculosis and provider better and quicker healing for you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
