General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Depo injection is known to have irregular periods, breast tenderness and bloating. This goes on for few months. There will not be any pregnancy, if injections are taken regularly. Consult your prescribing doctor about the side effects. You might be advised to stop the pricks and adopt another way of contraception.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
