What Causes Nausea,loss Of Appetite And Pressure At The Base Of Throat?

I HAVE BEEN SICK FOR THE PAST WEEK OR SO WITH A VIRUS (POSSIBLY STREP), SO NOT SURE IF THIS IS RELATED, BUT I HAVE HAD THIS PRESSURE AT THE BASE OF MY THROAT FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF DAYS, LIKE I NEED TO BURP TO RELEASE THE PRESSURE, BUT CAN T. I HAVE ALSO HAD PAIN IN MY LOWER RIGHT SIDE, AS WELL AS NAUSEA AND NO APPETITE. I REALLY DON T WANT TO KEEP GOING TO THE DR B/C I AM STARTING TO FEEL LIKE A HYPOCHONDRIAC, BUT THE SYMPTOMS JUST WON T SEEM TO GO AWAY

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms seems consistent with that of Gastro-esophageal reflux disease commonly known as acid reflux in which acid from stomach regurgitates into throat and even mouth and it can lead to the symptoms you are experiencing..

I would suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and he can also advise you to get an endoscopy done and if it is not acid reflux other causes like Hiatus Hernia can be looked for and treated accordingly..

As f now you can take antacids like Milk of magnesia and avoid spicy and acidic food and sleep with head slightly raised than feet for relief.
Drink plenty of water and avoid large and heavy meals..
