What Causes Negative And Obsessive Thinking In A Person?
I am wondering if I have an anxiety disorder because I am constantly thinking negative thoughts about almost everything I do especially concerning my job. I obsess about things that may or may not happen I have been this way as long as I can remember but the last year or so I am much worse than ever. I wake up thinking about the same problem I fell asleep thinking about be it a real problem or an imagined one that may or may not happen
There is one therapy called CBT can be taken from psychologist, always while sleeping put some calming music or listen some chantings ,never sleep with distress thoughts in mind, there is no use of anxiety as everyone going to die! Anti anxiety meds have side effects. Learn breathing exercises and yoga, meditation etc. Visit a psychologist, if antianxiety is needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
