What Causes Neuropathy In Feet Post Back Surgeries?

I ve had 7 back surgeries and the 7th one got rid of my lower back pain! The 7th back surgery was many years ago! Now I have terrible neuropathy pain in both feet! A doctor told me that it might be a nerve or nerves in my lower back that is causing the neuropathy pain in my feet!? I ve had injections in my lower back, but no pain relief! I m open to suggestions on how I can help with the pain in my feet! Is there any type of back surgery that might help? Thanks for your time, Donald Goss

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a peripheral neuropathy.
I suggest using a prescription painkiller such as Gabapentin for relieve.
If the symptoms continue, I suggest to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
