What Causes Night Sweats, Chills And Headaches In An Elderly Person?

I m 54 and know that some symptoms listed (night sweats) are likely menopausal. And while the total of symptoms checked may not be extraordinary, they ve been with me for several months. Mostly, I feel drained and a bit flu like (chills, achiness, headaches). I ve been unemployed and put off doc visits to save on costs (not been for 2 years). Today I made a wellness appt with primary care physician but the soonest she can see me is early January, so thought I d try this site in the meantime. Another noticeable symptom is itchiness. Granted, I have dry skin and my house is dry (I have a regimen to stay moisturized and hydrated) but itchiness much more than typical and like the other symptoms, going on for months. Mostly my head itches (top of head) and face and sometimes my arms. Just kind of weird. I don t have any conditions that I know of besides acid reflux and overweight (I know theyre related). I don t drink at all. I used to smoke but not so now. I don t get as much exercise as I should but my kids keep me busy. I am grateful for any insight you may offer.
