General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Levofloxacin is known to rarely have this side effect, which includes abnormal dreams and nightmares. Metronidazole is not known to have this effect, so I would say it is coming from the Levofloxacin. Depending on why you are taking it and how much longer you have, it may be best to tell your doctor so that it can be switched with another antibiotic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
