What Causes Night Terrors And Loss In The Sense Of Taste?

My husband is experiencing night terrors, thrashing and yelling. Also cannot smell or taste foods. He is 71 is a diabetic and has a family history of Alzheimer s. Seems to have had recent small mental changes. Should I get him to a specialist of some sort?

I think it's always best to be safe and see a doctor in such situations.

It does not necessarily mean Alzheimer's disease but there may be other issues causing this especially in diabetic patients.

So I would say you should see a neurologist for this issue.
