What Causes Nightmares After Taking Butalbital And Ondansetron For Concussion?

I suffered a concussion on the rights side of my my head around my eye. This was 3.5 days ago, went to the doctor about 36 hours after the hit and was checked out , confirm as a concussion, etc and given butalbital and ondansetron. Now I have major trouble sleeping more than 45 minutes to a couple of hours at a time, have nightmares, feel agitated and tired, and having some twitches in my opposite side (left) leg and arm. Prescriptions don t seem to work other than not throwing up today. Are these normal recovery issues 2 days after seeing the doctor? I plan on going back tomorrow morning first thing as today is the 4th of July and my doctor is out.

Hello,

Consult a neurologist and get evaluated. Certain drugs alter the neurotransmitter status of the brain and might cause these symptoms. If you persistently experience similar symptoms drugs has to be changed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
