What Causes No Periods After Abortion?

i had an evacuation of products at the beginning of oct 2010 no heartbeat at 8 weeks. i didnt bleed much after the op and i have had no bleeding or period since, i had a small amount of spotting in december and i ahve symptoms of pms but nothing ever comes of it, what could be wrong
