What Causes No Sense Of Smell, And Sinusitis While Recovering From Flu?

I am a 47 male who does chew tobacco and drink 2 or more cans of mountain every day. I was told a few years ago I should be tested for diabetes. Just over 2 months ago I came down with a really bad cold/flu lasted at least a month. Now I have no smell or taste and still suffer sinus pressure and stuffiness. Should I be concerned? How long could it take for my smell and taste to come back. When I had the Cold/flu took over the counter cold medicine and since have tried over the counter allergy medicine thinking maybe I am getting allergies.

Hello,

It sounds like you have been having prolonged viral symptoms, usually those post viral sickness will continue for some weeks sometimes. could be any viral health issue. Meanwhile, to be sure you consult an ENT doctor just to be sure you are not having any other issues as you are having tobacco chewing habit too.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
