What Causes Nocturnal Erections While On Cialis?

I am 6 3 healthy 250 lbs and just started taking 5mg of cialis. I am happy with the results. But during the night I am finding that I am waking up erect. And it worries me. If I void it will go away. But I ll 2akw up an hour later and be erect again. Should I discontinue taking the cialis or maybe cut dosage?

I can understand your concern.
Tadalafil ('Cialis') can cause prolonged erection lasting for 4 hours or more
especially if you have been taking too much of it or too often. If the penis does not return to its flaccid state, it results in prolonged erection (Priapism) in which the penis remains erect for long periods and also results in pain. This can be potentially harmful to the penis.
On the other hand Priapism can also be associated with certain blood diseases, hypertension, and recreational drug use.

I would therefore advise you to visit your prescribing doctor who will advice you on guidelines of use, for this particular medication. Till then, please avoid this medication. Hope this will help you.
