What Causes Nodules In Throat?

HI , I have a student that says she has 7 nodules in her throat and they are cancerous. She said she is on steroids and another med for now to shrink the nodes and then might need surgery.. Upon reading, I have discovered that primary treatment is surgery..and that 95% of the nodules are benign.... She does have a Lupus but often uses her illnesses to gain empathy of others.. I am struggling with the notion of reality ( does she have cancer?) or is she making it up? What steroid med would she be on? or additional to that to help shrink the nodules...

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

As such, there are no nodules in throat, can lead to cancer with out treatment at 17 age. Could be tonsillitis or pharyngitis.

Steroids are indicated only in allergy.
