What Causes Normal Period Followed By Spotting During Pregnancy?

Hello. I had my period 3 weeks ago, it seemed normal heavy for two days, then tapers off for another two. 5days after I finished, I started spotting for 3 days it stopped for two and then spotted again for two days. I took a home pregnancy test today and it says I am pregnant. Could this be possible? I did have a blood pregnancy test at the doctor today and will get my results tomorrow, I am just baffled by the normal period then spotting five days later. Any insight will be appreciated.

If your pregnancy test shows that you r pregnant you are most likely pregnant. Heavy bleeding may be indicative of abortion, ectopic, threatened abortion. Also if you are a known pcod you can have a false positive Upt. But then the second line on Upt kit would be weakly positive.
