Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had recently got hit in the front of my head forehead area by a rock. I got a minor concussion but that was a few weeks back. I woke up with a bloody nose is that something to be concerned about? I got a CT scan and everything came clear like two days after the hit
Hi, Thanks for contacting Healthcaremagic. The most common cause of nasal bleed after head injury is fracture of paranasal sinuses (these are air filled cavities in your face and forehead) Usually these are picked up by CT scan, your scan does not mention about it may be because you had CT of head alone without sinuses or it might be too small even radiologist could not find it! As your CT scan looks normal and you have no symptoms then you have nothing to worry. If bleeding persist consult a ENT specialist to rule out any abrasions or mild fracture in the nasal cavity. Wishing you good luck.
Thank you Dr.Shinas Hussain
