What Causes Nose Bleeding Followed By Fever?

I got packing in my nose from profuse nosebleeds. Two days later i feel so much worse and i had a temp of 102 when i was at the hospital 2 days ago. I noticed today that the nostril that has the packing in it was leaking clear liquid now it is thick almost like snot. Should i go to the ER? Or should i get rest?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

kindly go to the ER because if it is rhinorrhoea then you need immediate treatment as you say it is a clear liquid.

It could be CSF draining out of the brain from any injury in between. So immediately go to the doctor and get it fixed up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
