What Causes Nose Bleeds, Bruising In Mouth And Throat After Fibroids Removal?
Hello, I had surgery this morning to have an ablasion to remove fibroids. After getting home I noticed my mouth and throat has severe bruising, I keep getting a bloody nose and I have blood pooling at the bottom of my eyes. It hurts really bad. I called my Dr and she said I got sick several times during surgery so they had to do a different breathing tube. I m not sure why I got sick I did not eat or drink as instructed before had. Is this something I should be concerned about? Do I need to go to a diff doctor or the ER? Have you heard of this before?
Since the treating doctors had to put breathing tube during surgery for fibroid removal, you are experiencing hurt and discomfort post- surgery. Breathing tubes commonly do not cause damage or hurt but they can. It may damage teeth or cut the inside of your mouth. The tube may hurt your throat and voice box, so you could have a sore throat or find it hard to talk and breathe for a time.
The nose bleeds, bruising in the mouth and throat can be due to it. It will get cured over time. Consult your treating doctor you may need to be referred to an ENT for clinical examination and treatment. Get treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
