What Causes Nose Bleeds In A Person Born With Cleft Lip And Palate?

HI I'm 28 and was born with a cleft lip and partial pallete. I have had 2 nose reconstructed surgeries both with in a the last 9 years. both don't think didn't do much help, but I'm getting alot of nose bleeds out-of only the left side that the cleft is effected is that common

Hi.
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain bleeding from nose in your case can be due to infection post surgery or there is a possibility that if the defect is not completely closed there is recurring infection and inflammation in the nose and maxillary sinuses leading to bleeding..
You should consult an Oral Surgeon and get a thorough evaluation done and a nasal endoscopy and MRI of sinuses can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
