What Causes Nose Congestion And Watery Eyes While On Donepezil?

My husband was diagnosed with early onset of dementia last year has been taking donezepril and he has this runny nose and watering eyes he has some seasonal allergies but this is constant the present med is the only new med that he is taking, wondering if that may be the cause.

Hello,

Donepezil drug usually causes feeling unwell (malaise),appetite loss, weight loss, sleep problems (insomnia),muscle cramps, tiredness, drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, shakiness (tremor),itchy skin.

Few people may develop allergic symptoms may can cause nasal congestion and runny nose. Please you can use anti histamine for nasal congestion. If still symptoms not improved please consult your physician, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.
