What Causes Nosebleeds Post Nasal Septum Surgery?

i had nasal septrum surgery monday,basically they cleaned nose passage out and put split in nurse. i have been bleeding alot. been doing the salt solution spray 4 times a day, 5 squirts per nostril. still bleeding and sore, got headache on left side. my throat is getting sore and chest hurts as i cough. i been making myself eat with meds. hydrocodone 10/325. are the symptoms usual ?

Hello,

I think you should use decongestants to help your mucosa lining regenerate. Use nasal irrigation but no so often and violently in order not to traumatize mucosa and to give it time to regenerate.

Also, humidified environment and steam room are advisable to help it.

Also, you can examine hemorrhagic time and coagulation time in order to see if there is a problem with blood clotting.
