What Causes Numbnes And Burning Pain Under Shoulder Blade With Breathlessness?

I just experienced a numbness followed by a burning pain go up my left arm and under my left shoulder blade in my back. My breath became short and I felt warm. I have angina so I took a nitro tablet and had someone rub my back and the symptoms eased.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have numbnes and burning pain under shoulder blade with breathlessness. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like cervical spondylosis , radiculopathy , neuropathy ,trapezius muscle problem or heart problem . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI along with physical examination . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory and nerve supplement . Doctor may also recommend physical therapy and light stretching exercises . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist for heart problem . For now apply warm compresses under shoulder blades and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Do not sit in one posture for long time .
