What Causes Numbness Along With Pain In The Lower Leg?

I am having strong pulses and throbbing in my left leg on medial side lower leg - it feels like throbbing vein(s); it is not painful, and I don t have vericose veins. It happens when I m sitting at my desk and almost immediately when I sit down. It has been intermittent for some months but becoming more frequent. I also get numbness on the left leg and it is down the entire leg - same intermittent frequency. What could this be related to?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a strained muscle.

In case of pain and numbness my recommendations are:

Use anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen daily. Use anti-inflammatory cream for local relief. Use warm compresses at the painful area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
