What Causes Numbness And Bruising On The Foot Post Injury?

My foot got squished by a kayak being pressed into it by the ocean 8 days ago. I have a small, weirdly shaped purple bruise and my foot is a little swollen. I can walk fine and only have a little pain when walking. It does hurt when I press on the bruise and the surrounding area, and it also feels a little numb directly on the bruise. Should I get it checked out by a doctor?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the days has gone and symptoms does not improved even after taking anti-inflammatory drugs then it need to be seen by doctor, and if you have not taken any drugs then better have "Tab Diclofenac 50 mg" sustain release once in day, keep the leg in elevated position, some time it may needs x-ray study, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
