What Causes Numbness And Pain In Leg Post Heart Bypass Surgery?

I had 5 bypasses one year ago. They took 4 viens from my left leg. This same leg has always been numb at the bottom of the leg and I get sharp pains once in a while. I walk 2 mile a day, 5 days a week since surgery. Lately I find myself not completing the walk because of pain in the inside ankle. They say I need to see a vascular Dr. What kinds of tests should I have? And is there anything I can do to illuminate the pain, I dont want to go backwards in not exercising.

Hi,
Welcome to healthcaremagic
i understood your health problem.

you are nothing to worry about your pain of left ankle & feet.

you should go for Neurology advise but before that do X-RAY of LEFT Ankle joint-A.P. & Lat. , & also check out your calcium level, vit-B 12 level & vit. D3 level to rule out actual cause of your ankle pain as well as your pain of left feet also.

You can take Tab. Paracetamol (650 m.g.) 3 times in a day at 6 to 7 hours of interval.

Please share all above details of reports on healthcaremagi to start even more suitable medicine for u.
Wish u good health,
Take care,
Thanx.
