What Causes Numbness And Pain While Bending Fingers And Thumb?

in the last year, the first two fingers on both hands have experienced nighttime numbness and have become stiff and painful to bend. Recently my right thumb is starting become painful to bend. Is there anything with diet or supplements or exercise that will reverse or at least arrest this condition?

Hi.

Your symptoms match carpal tunnel syndrome and so I recommend visiting an orthopedic specialist who shall help you with a diagnosis and then treatment.

Wrist splinting is recommended along a steroid shot which will help reduce the pain and numbness. Please speak to a doctor about the same. You can also choose to start an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) like ibuprofen which will help reduce swelling and also the numbness.
