What Causes Numbness And Sharp Pain In The Neck And Upper Back?

Hi, for the past month or so Ive been experiencing extreme numbness/tingling/pins in needles in various places. typically in my neck and upper back though. I have not done any physical damage and I take vitamins/zoloft/yaz. it is extremely uncomfortable and causing me to lose sleep. any suggestions?
