What Causes Numbness And Tingling In The Finger Tips?
I am an IT professional and spend daily time on computer keyboards and have for the past 18 years. I now experience slight numbness/tingling in my finger tips. I have attributed it to repetitious keyboard exposure. Are there other considerations that I need to mindful in view of these symptoms.
Fingertips may be numb in the case of patients that use alcohol or have certain vitamin deficiency such as vitamin B deficiencies. The numbness in these cases may be due to neuropathy caused by alcohol consumption or vitamin B deficiency. Neuropathy may also be caused by diabetes.
If you are using alcohol, kindly make sure you cut down to healthy levels. Also, take vitamin B complex supplements daily and have a check of your blood sugar levels to make sure if you have diabetes.
I hope this gives some answers to your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
