What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In Both The Legs?

I have numbness and tingling in both legs below the knee. Also, severe cramping in feet ankles and legs at night with trouble walking. A year ago I was examined by my PC and he sent me to Pt but it didn t help. What could this be? I will be 65 this year and this has been getting worse over the course of 2to 3 years
