What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In Shin Muscle After ACL Reconstruction?

I tore my ACL when I was 14, had 2 minor meniscus surgeries until my ACL reconstruction (patella) at 18 years old. I retore the ligament at age 32 and had another reconstruction, this time with a cadaver lig. I am now 34, and since the reconstruction, I have experienced off and on tingling and numbness in my shin muscle--the anterior compartment area from the knee to ankle--below the surgical knee. The symptoms are extremely similar to chronic compartment syndrome and the problem gets worse as I intensify my workouts and when I sit too long. I have never been a jogger, yet have been doing intense dynamic workouts similar to the the px90 (sp?) workouts most of my life. I can't jog, or the shin goes numb and seems to swell. I am 5'8", 150lbs, good to excellent shape.
