What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Face?

Hi, I recently have been experiencing a numbness and tingling sensation in my face, mostly at night. It starts to cause serious anxiety. It seems that it may be an anxiety issue to begin with and then escalates as I start to get worked up about it when it feels like I can t swallow. Could this be something more serious?

Hello,

The symptoms you explain seem to be due to anxiety. The fact that they happen at night and that you experience anxiety while having the symptoms lead us towards the diagnosis of anxiety.
If you get swelling of the lips or eyes when you get these sensations and difficulty swallowing, then a severe allergic reaction may be considered, but this is very unlikely the cause based on the history you gave.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
