What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Left Arm?

My left arm has been feeling funny, kind of numb and sometimes tingly. My blood pressure has been pretty normal. It goes from 114 over 70 with a pulse of 88 then it goes from 120 to 125 or 126 for the sys, the dia ranges from 75 to 89 and the pulse goes from anywhere of 80 to 100. Right now when i just took it was 135 for the sys, the dia was 95 and the pulse was 103, the 2nd time it was 126 over 95 with a pulse of 100. And the 3rd time it was 121 over 91 with a pulse of 100. I guess my question is, am i having a heart attack or on the verge. The whole arm thing is making me worry.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

Normal physiological variation in blood pressure can occur and don't worry about that. In ischemic heart disease chest pain, sweating etc like complaint present. Still investigate with EKG as numbness is present. Neurological examination advisable in your case to rule out nerve compression like causes. Investigate with random blood sugar to rule out diabetes. I suggest you to investigate with serum B12 estimation as well. According to the cause specific treatment given. I suggest you to consult physician for examination.

Hope I have answered your question.
