What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Right Arm?

I had surgery about 4 weeks ago and a plate and 4 pins were placed in my right arm right above the wrist. I had a follow up xay and the pins have backed almost out. The surgeon inquired whether I had any tingling or numbness and I don t so he scheduled another follow up for 2 weeks and said the plate and screws would be removed the following week. Is it my fault? Did I do too much? What is involved with the removal? Will a nerve block be used like in the original surgery? Will I have a cast?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be due to some kind of nerve impingement following the surgery.

Nothing much to worry and the symptoms will settle by itself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
