The senselessness of thumb is because of some small nerve branches cut off. It will gain sense slowly.

The pain is indicative of still the wound is not healed properly inside and inflammation is there. Preventive steps to catch no infection might well have been taken by your doctor.

However you may add, as we do for our own patients, turmeric powder 1/2 tsp to a glass of warm milk or water and drink twice a day for about a week. It is bacteriostatic, anti inflammatory and healer natural gift. There are capsules of turmeric too viz. Haridra capsules available.

Hope it helps you.
