What Causes Numbness In Ankle And Leg?

I recently experienced my ankle going numb and my leg gave out for a few minutes, ( about 20 min. ) I could still walk, but it was with a limp. It was a strange feelings. Do you have any ideas of what could cause this? Would a blood clot cause this?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is not likely a blood clot. This would present with continuous pain, swelling, redness and increased warmth in the leg.

Altered sensation is most often related to an issue with the nerve supply in the area.
Your doctor can conduct a neurological examination to determine if there are any neurological issues in this area.

I hope this helps
