What Causes Numbness In Arms Along With Swollen Ankles?

my left arm feels heavy slightly numb, left side of face slightly numb. I m a smoker I drink, my ankles are swollen , I m asthmatic , high blood pressure, epileptic, I had this last week but I had pain in my chest this time I have no pain in chest, I feel out of sorts

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have numbness in arms along with swollen ankles. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like arthritis , gout , edema or allergy . I would suggest you to eat healthy , take over the counter anti histamine like zyrtec, keep your legs elevated while sleeping and lower your salt consumption . Consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , Blood test , urine test and take history , because it can also be cause by side effect of some medicine . Liver and kidney faliure can also be one of the reasons . Doctor may refer you to specialist for organ failure and orthopedic surgeon , who may prescribe methotrexate , allopurinil along with diuretics .
